Syfy has said that they’re holding a Stargate Universe marathon on the 3rd of March (that’s actually today for me, be in Australia), they will be airing season 2.0, I guess that it’s to build up the 2.5, and make it easier for we fans to get more viewers.
Quite a while ago Syfy Channel announced that the (apparent) final ten episodes of Stargate Universe, and in turn Stargate the franchise will air on the Monday the 7th of March. But just today they tweeted: “Theoretically a huge, consistent rating for the final 10 might open discussions for some kind of continuation.” So we fans online have a work ahead of us, get more viewers. I’ve been tweeting like mad about SGU, and I’ve been telling what friends of mine that don’t watch the show to watch it.
And this is their catch up service (that doesn’t work here in Australia, if it did they’d have enough ratings just from me. I’m sure watching it on there counts as ratings): http://www.syfy.com/rewind/universe
But Australia (and you have Free-To-Air) watch it on Channel Eleven on Thursday nights at 8:30 PM. But Eleven also have a catch up service: http://stargate.mgm.com/full-episodes/
So tune in to the next ten episodes and ask your friends to ask their other friends (to ask their other friends) to watch the show.
The final episodes of Stargate Universe (on Syfy, anyway) will begin on Monday, March the 7th, Syfy Channel has announced via its online schedule. Ten episodes remain for the show, starting with an episode called ‘Deliverance’ which picks up where November’s mid-season finale left off.
Syfy will not only move the show off the dead-end that was Tuesday night, but pair it with one of its other (not quite) original dramas Being Human, which premiered to nearly 2 million viewers in January (3.8 million over three broadcasts). New episodes of Being Human will air at 9 p.m. (following a repeat of the previous week’s at 8), followed by SGU at 10 p.m.
Both shows will repeat at 11 p.m. and 12 midnight, respectively.
Thanks to Darren Summer from Gateworld for this news.
The ratings aren’t that high but they are beating the VERY popular (in my books anyway) The Simpsons. Sadly those ratings did not continue into week three with them dropping to 134,ooo. That may seem like bad news but only the news beat it by 2000 viewers. But most viewing figures for Eleven were, witch makes you wonder my that Thursday was bad for viewing figures.
I’d like to thank @SGUnite (website: http://sgunite.com/ *coming soon*) for the news.
